Celebration in Mexico!

Birthday = Awesome

Birthday on a cruise ship = stunning

Birthday in Mexico on a cruise ship = INSANE!!

That is what happened for me. I was in Mexico, Cozumel to be Exact.

A group of us decided to head to No Name, a bar that is run by ex crew members.

This bar Has a walk of shame, a wall filled with sea pass cards of people that have been fired from cruise lines.

But even better, this place has a swim up bar, a pool, and ocean access!! You can jump off a 20 foot wall in to the ocean!

This day was perfect! Getting to relax in the ocean/pool on a beautiful sunny day with a tasty drink in hand. Needless to say this was one awesome birthday!

We were able to stay at no name for about 5 hours, which was extremely nice since gettin time off the ship can be hard.

Now before we got off the ship, I had to go to drill and then jump down the emergency chute. That made for an excellent start to my morning.

That was a backwards way of how my day went, but Mexico was a treat to celebrate my birthday. I could not thank my friends that took me out to celebrate, you all made the day very special and one I will soon never forget!!

Thank you!!

In the next post I will talk about our imentertainment on board!

Brilliance of the Seas

Well what an adventure this job has been! It has been everything I hoped it would be and more! The best way to describe this job is an adventure!

Ship life is extremely different from land life. From working hours, to traveling, to living crew corridors.

Let's start with the living corridors. It takes getting used to living in a closet. I am not joking by that either. We live in very small corridors with many of the cabins not having portholes. These cabins have everything you need, bed, storage, bathroom, shower. All cramped in a very small spot. But none of this matters to me, since you only sleep in your room. (And we do have crew tv! Which is awesome!)

Through out the ship, the crew have many hangout spots to simply chill on their time off. From the day room, mess hall, bar, and forward lounge, having a small area does not bug me as much!

Traveling has been something else I have needed to get used to. I love to travel, but have never been stuck on somthing for 24+ hours. Sea days are extremely strange and can be difficult.

Strange because there is a lot more work (got to keep the guests entertained) but you can't get off the ship, you are stuck. That feel can get to you, but you find ways to entertain yourself.

Difficult because, if you know me, I get bored easy. If I have many hours off I between shifts, I get bored because there is nothing to do. This has been a challenge for me.

Finally the working hours! As for the working part, I work the same hours I do on land at a theatre. Nothing has changed in that. However, you never get a day off, you get hours off. Which has been another big adjustment! However, 3 cruises down and I love it. It does not bug me that I don't have a day off. I guess I was cut out for ship life. Hmmm...guess we will see where this take me.

In other news, I finally got to check off another bucket list item!! I had my Birthday in a different country - COZUMEL, MEXICO!! What a treat that was! Look for a post about my adventure in Mexico on my birthday!!

Have a great week everyone and write to you all soon!

The Next Big Thing is here!

Yes, the next big thing is here and it is not a smartphone! It is my next career adventure!

As most know that I am joining the Brilliance of the Seas by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines TOMORROW!

I am thrilled for this new experience and can't wait to share every moment with all of you!

Before all of this begins, I need to continue thanking my family, friends, and coworkers that support me in all of my decisions and adventures! I could not do this without you. I truly mean all of that. Without this support I would not be sitting here doing what I love and reaching my dreams.

The last two months have been a blessing and I can't say that enough either! It was a blast living with my family and sharing memories that will last a life time! I was extremely blessed to be able to have the time that I had with them! So Eldon and Tami Sukup Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done in the last 2 months. Thank you for all the great memories, moments, and adventures! This next one will be huge!

So here is to the next adventure! Welcome Aboard!

Discovery about life

My life has been very interesting, to say the least. I have been thinking about my life, specifically how I can achieve the best fulliiment or "living to the fullest" as I walk down this road. I may have wrote about this eariler in my blogs, but I have confidently found how I achieve fulliement. There are 3 components to this idea:

1) it has to be a challenge (physical or mental) and can't be "safe"
This is what simulattes my mind, forces me to fiind a way, to think. When I have something that is a challenge it allows me to have a greater sense of accomplishment when the challenge is completed. After getting off that rush, I need to get back to it. I need to be but on this edge to feel awake.

2) I need to not have a set path, variety, mystery to lead my life
If I know where I want to go, what path to take, then I feel that I am playing it safe. If I don't know then I can see things that may have been over looked. Not knowing what is next allows me to open my senses and see everything for what it is and not thorugh a filter or a narrowed vision.

3) I cant know the outcome, or how it will play out (let alone how it will start)
If I know how it will end, then I may not like the finish. Feeding ff the mystery, the end can be the best outcome. You never know how the dots connect until you look back. If we know how they will connect by looking forward, then the adventure of the end is not a full as not knowing.

I have discovered that these three items will make me the happiest, most fullied, and a live. It may seem crazy of an idea, and you may be thinking this is stupid, dangerous, or I am out of my mind. Quite possibly  you are right, but that is the beautiful thing about life. There are 7 billion of us and only one Daniel P. Sukup that is from Iowa!

We all need to figure out what makes us full, happy, and unique. We all need to stop with the social norms and be ourselves and listen to our durm and not the factory made. This has been a simply self discovery that I needed to answer myself. I had answered these questions before, but I have not been able to answer them under a different setting.

I challenge you all to do this. What makes you feel the fullest, the most happiest, the most unique?

Thank you,
Daniel Sukup

Goals

Hello all,

It has been a crazy summer, some very interesting things have been in the works and continue to surprise me. I still can't believe that it has been nearly a month since my last post! Where has time gone?

This summer has been filled with great adventure, memories to last a life time, and simple fun times! From hitting up beautiful Nature sanctuaries, traveling to amusement parks, hiking, relaxing, see new things, and above all meeting new people!

As I head into this month, I have a few goals for the rest of the year. I feel that goals need to be apart of everyones life, otherwise how do you know that you have grown to a new height?

Goal 1) First and foremost, I am making it a goal to write more often. Simply spending 10 minutes to write something is better then nothing.

Goal 2) Next, I plan to unveil a new project of mine in the coming weeks. This will remain a surprise for a while, but it has always been a goal of mine to be expand to new horizons and now I will be!:)

Goal 3) I have another surprise in the works that should be able to be announced this week! It has always been a goal of mine to work somewhere new! I am being very vague on this because I don't want to spoil the surprise!!

Goal 4) Travel somewhere new! I am going to be going to a new amusement park this year: Holiday World for the best day of the year: NATIONAL ROLLER COASTER DAY!!! August 16th, I will be heading to a new park to celebrate my favorite day!

Goal 5) have one extreme adventure, meaning skydiving or zip lining, or some high adrenaline rush!

5 goals, 5 months, lets do it! In other news, keep a watch out on my Facebook page for updates on the happening this months!

See you later, or write you later?

Inside Out

Hello all,

What a beautiful day, well cloudy weather here, to write words in a digital relam. Recently I saw the movie 'Inside Out' and Pixar did not disapoint me in my movie going adventures. I don't want to write a review on the movie, becuase it would the be world's shorest review: AWESOME! Instead, I want to write about something that it made me feel: Family.

I have been working away from my family for 9 months now. Unlike school, where I could visit and miss classes, real worldness you don't have that option as much! Out of these 9 months I have not lived closer then 13 hours away from my family, and the furtest being 22 hours, has been intesting to say the least.

It has not really hit me until recently on how much family means to me, even more so then in college. Family is my support beam that has been there to hold me up while I get my footing in this real world lifestyle. Pushing me to hold strong to my dream and never letting go of my drive to do the impossible.

Honestly, I miss my family so much and would love to spend a lot of time with them but I know that if I want to reach my dreams, I would be doing more harm to the support of my family by coming back to "safety". It is a tough road as an adult (I am finding out) but it is a beautiful one. It reminds me of summer vactions, just hasve to pay for everything!

How does this all fit into 'Inside Out'? If you have seen the movie, it deals with emotions and more precisely interactions with family. After seening it, it forced me to reflect about my family and my life. All in good vibes.

That is todays thought!

Daniel Sukup

P.S. I hope you all are enjoyingn summer, we got nailed yesterday with ann extreme rain and flash flooding was a major concern. The stage is getting fixed today and will be ready for tonight preformance! Our AT's are some of the best people around this season and could not thank them enough for all the hard work they have done! So to al of the AT's THANK YOU!!

Tecumseh! 2015

This summer is flying by and I don't know what to think of it. It seems to me that as you get older, time just flies quicker and quicker.

Anywho, this summer has been an excellent start to Tecumseh! 2015! We are officially 20 shows into this season and it is just getting started!!

Being back for a third season makes this place feel more like home then work. Being around this many actors for a summer is always an adventure making them your family away from family.

This year I am back as Kothee, but doing so much more! Jenny Male (our incredible director) has added a lot of beautiful moments in the show that have transformed this show yet again. A narrator, who signs the voiced narration, has been added. I was given the honor to be that person this year and make it come to life. I could not be more blessed to be signing the narration.

This year is already shaping to be an incredible season for myself and also the audience!

60 Seconds

Hello all,

I thought I would share with you some advise I got recently when I read an article about how we are not present as much as we should. Present meaning here, alive, awake, in the moment.

This article gave the readers a challenge, to think you are going to die in the next 60 seconds. This is so short of time that you can't plan what you would want to do. This is to allow you to open your eyes and see, be aware. As if this is going to be your last time you would see the objects in front of you.

As crazy as this sounds, I wanted to try this thinking, wanted to see if it would work. At first it was weird to think I have 60 seconds left, but when you started to think it with your heart and understand that what you were seeing would be gone in 60 seconds, it woke me up. Everything seemed alive, more beautiful then before, sound was even more crisp.

This is what I have been wanting. Getting away from these distractions and being present with people and the environment around me. This simple exercise did just that, allowed me to set in my understanding about time: nothing is granted more then this absolute second, past that we don't know what will happen and we need to appreciate what is around us. This will lead to so many positive teaches and attitudes in your life.

It may seem weird at first to try this exercise, but I challenge you all to try it. With full heart, try to realize that we don't have the next minute garunteed to us.

Now this is just that, an exercise. It is to help us value what is around us now, and throw it around like we are here for ages.

Simple thoughts, simple minds

With Age it All Makes Sense.

Well that title is about 10% true. Let's be honest, for all of my friends and family that is older then me, does it really make sense when you get older?

In my experience, somethings have started to make sense, but I feel I am left with more questions then answers. However, one things is for sure, growing up and moving out has provided me with more answers then questions.

When we are all children, we don't have this understanding of time, we frolic through the vines of adventure as if time was never in existence. We take for granted the moments with our family and tend to argue more then love or appreciate them. We eventually get to the point that we wish we were free from their grasps. As exciting as that seems then, it has been more brutal then any other wish. I wish I would have listened to Peter Pan sometimes.

On the flip side, it is a beautiful wish. From college to "the real world", I have come ever more closer to my parents the further I have gotten from them. Every second with them is a dream of reality that is more magical then a first visit to Disney World.

As for the part that make sense; we need to grow up to understand the beauty we had as a child to be able to grow and see the world for what it is: a gift. For myself, it has been the biggest lesson I have learned from life: time moves fast and we need to be awake to experience the greatness.

Personally I feel that if I had not made that "wish" when I was younger then I would not have the appreciation I have now for family, friends, and life.

I may still have many question and few answers and I am only 23, but the answers I do have, have allowed me to have a new understanding of life, family, and the world around me. Knowing that at any second it will be gone has awaken me to a new degree.

My challenge to all of you: be awake and don't take anything for granted. Time moves quickly and it can be very scary!!

Last 5 Years

Good morning Baltimore (I have always wanted to say that)! Yesterday I occurred to me that it has been 5 years since I graduated from, dare I say it, High School. A time in my life that was there to provide great lessons.... lets just leave it at that! A lot has happened in 5 years, a whole book has happened! Crazy thoughts, but it is true. Like my parents have always told me, I don't let grass grow underneath my feet!

Last 5 Years

Lets start off this post right! I will be interviewing myself to answer questions that will answer what has happened in the Last 5 Years (how many more times can I get this show title in this post!)

How many Cities have you lived in?

I have officially live in 5 cities. Omaha, St. Louis, New York City, San Diego, Missoula, and Chillicothe!

How many state have you been to in the last 5 years?

Any where between 15-20 states (not all knew, just traveling)

What degrees did you get in college?

I recently graduated with BFA in Acting, BFA in Technical Theatre, and a Minor in Dance

Now time for the juicy questions: What have you done job wise in the last 5 years?

I have worked at a lake in Council Bluffs, that was a fun summer and that was also the summer of the great Missouri River Flood. The next summer, I worked at Six Flags St. Louis as a ride op for the roller coaster Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast, that was a chance to knock off items on my bucket list. Then for the last two summers, I have worked in Chillicothe Ohio, working on the show Tecumseh! I will be heading back there this summer for a third year. During college time period, I work as a House Keeper (that was a blast and I miss my boss Beth and Elvin!), also worked on countless productions professional and academic. My favorites being that I interned with Mike Kantz for a month and worked underneath Brian Ebbinghaus for 2+ years! Now in my post-college years, I have a solid 9 months of work lines up, first with Missoula Children's Theatre and second with Tecumseh!! I do have plans after September 2015, but I want to keep that a surprise.

What is something you are most proud of in the last 5 years?

To much to say. I think what has been the most rewarding is looking at life a different way. As I have been going through life, I have soon realized that we are not guaranteed tomorrow and we need to spend every waking minute doing what we love.

What do you love?

Theatre, art, creativity, expression, etc.

What is your biggest accomplishment in theatre or your art?

I have a few: First off, I think meeting the people that I have met in my life and getting to know their story. I count this as an accomplishment because I now know stories that some people will never hear, and these have changed my life.

I think my other accomplishment goes to working in professional theater. I was told many times in my life that, "They don't need you, theatre is over crowed and you won't get work." I have told these people to watch me and learn! It has been a thrill and a huge accomplishment showing them that they need me in the theatre world, because there is only one Daniel P Sukup that is 23!!

Finally, getting into stage combat. Last summer, I recommended pass my Quarterstaff testing. This was my first weapon I have ever trained on and it will now not be my last!!

You mentioned art, what type of art do you do other then theatre?

Any type of visual art! I love working with new mediums and coming up with new mediums to be able to tell the story that I want to tell. Unfortunately, being on the road I can't always work with new mediums, instead I have been working with photography. This is something that my parents have been pushing me to do longer then I can remember. Thanks to them I will be advancing it even further then before!

Getting back to the last 5 years, what is something you will take away for the next 5 years?

Self exploration and finding exactly who I am. This may sound weird, but in the world of technology, majority of us have lost this connection and are lost. We are addicted to these screens and not seeing the real world for what it is. This is something I am working with my photography to do. I want to capture the real world and get that connection back, as I move forward with the next 5 years.

Finally, what are 5 goals for the next 5 years?

1) Continue being a working Actor and not to lose the love for the arts
2) Continue to have the drive to explore and find
3) Be on a  National Tour
4) Build my film career up
5) Write a book and get published

Bonus: Be a published artist

What do you want to tell your 28 years old self?

Never lose the child in your heart. Keep the innocence alive with every new day. Never forget that tomorrow will never come and today could be your last. Smile and stay chill. Stress is worthless and not needed.

Thank you for reading this self interview. It has been an adventure writing and talking to myself. It really has gotten me to think about has happened. In the words of Steve Jobs:

"You can't connect the dots looking forward you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something: your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well worn path." -Steve Jobs

The side roads

It is strange to say that MCT is over. It was my life for the past 5 months. That is not a long time, compared to others, but it is my longest job I have had.

I learned a lot from this job. Ironically the best lesson I learned is to take the side roads.

This lesson was greater then the many others lessons because from this I was able to stem to these other lessons. There were three major lessons to stem from taking side roads:

1) Taking a side road will take much infer to get to your location, sometimes hours longer. This is where I learned to extend my patiences. When you finally train your mind that you don't need to rush, that you will get there eventually, you start seeing very positive changes in yourself. You don't anger as easy, you manta in a "stress free" or "chilled" life longer, and you present yourself with a more positive atmosphere.

2) taking the side roads not only enhanced my patiences, but in the process of slowing down I was able to see beauty that I did not before.

On an interstate, you zoom past everything at a speed that does not allow you to see things, to appreciate things. Taking a slower road, allows time for these things. Being able to see towns that one would not if they were on the fast lane. Being able to see monuments, historical markers, mama and papa stores, and simply unique items made for a slower drive simply beautiful.

My level of appreciation increased 10 fold, allowing this to extend past the visuals of the road but to the people I was working with easy week. Being able to see through their "tough" mode or see them for what others don't made this experience so much more then what it was.

3) with interstates, it is very easy to get to point A to point B. With side roads, your focus, concentration, and presentness have to be there in order to make it to point A and B. I made this harder on myself and did not use my GPS and would "memorize" the map before we started to dive to see how far I could get before I needed a map. By the end of tour I was able to make it majority if not the full route without a GPS.

Allowing your mind the always think like this when driving, with enhance your senses. You will be safer because you are always on the lookout, always focused for problem areas, always present at the task at hand and never are you in "auto pilot" as this would kill you.

Using this method, allowed for the job to never become a "job" as you were always fouced on what will happen now, what is different. It was harder to become "bored"

Side roads have taught me a lot about myself and how to work and live. Before I continue: there is a time for Interstates, they are not bad and I am not saying I now advoid them. Just learned different things from different roads.

Side roads did teach me a lot about my self, and how to use these lessons for my job. I suggest that every person to take a moment when driving to take the longer route to point A and B.

Moving on!

As this contract is about to end, I think it is about time to announce my next plan for 2015!

Moving On!

It is so much fun always moving on to the next project! This is one of many reasons that I love theater and being an artist, always finding new projects to work on. Some are short term and some are long term! Today I want to announce two projects that I will be pulling my focus to after this contract with Missoula Children's Theatre is over.

First I want to annoys that I will be back at Tecumseh! this summer for the third year! I will never forget the first summer there and I asked the returnees, "why do people keep coming back?" and the best answer I received was, "you will have to wait and see!" At first I unsure about this answer and exactly the meaning behind it, however that has all changed after my first season. I honestly don't know how to explain it, there is something about that mountain that keeps calling me back. Something is not finished and I still feel the calling back to the mountain! I am thrilled to be back again this year and I am crazy positive that it will be an incredible summer at the best outdoor drama there is!!

Second, for anyone that reads this will be the first to know that I am officially going to push my photography to the next level. Starting this summer, I will start pulling more focus to capturing and make these all available to each of you! There will be more information as I define exactly what I want to do. With all of the positive push I have receive with my photography, I have decided to find the next step!

These are my next two steps after Missoula Children's Theatre. This only covers the summer, but the adventure of what happens after August 31st! Be sure to follow this blog to be the first to find out!

The Bohemian Lifestyle

It was not until about a week a go that I realized something really cool about this job! When you read about it, you will see how obvious it was!
This is very similar to our family crest!

Hello all!

First off I pray that these days have been a blessing for you to be living! It is crazy how fast each one goes, but each one is a gift! If you live like that, no only will you feel like it is your birthday but also your days will be filled with gratitude!

Moving on to this job. As this title suggests, this is a Bohemian life style. It is a wonderful term to official term to put on my life! Some of you may frown at this term being held to my current life, but it is a beauty of a word. Bohemian lifestyle is  simply an artist or 'litterateur" who, consciously or unconsciously, secedes from conventionality in life and in art. That is exactly who I am. Not only with this job but also with my life.

However, this job is also exactly like that. We enter a random town, either stay with a family or a hotel, and live in this town for a week, then when we are done we move to the next town! This is beautiful way of living, stay in an area for a little bit and then get to move to see another town. I love this for the adventure side of me, but also the faith side of me.

Living life as the so so called "Bohemian" style has been a huge life lesson for me. From getting use to traveling to new areas every Sunday, to meeting some of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life, to learn different lessons in my faith, and to experience different views compared to other places I have lived. Over all it has been a showcase for me to see a different part of America and learn from other people. In the end we are all a part of this human race, here to learn from each other instead of fight each other.

I love this job, it has so much value that other jobs just simply can't offer. As I continue this journey, I will keep you posted on new adventures and happenings in my neck of the woods! Have an incredible day and make today a glorious one!!

Now it Starts!

What is crazy to me, that a year ago I was sitting in the basement of my parents home and thinking about heading back to school, in St. Louis. A year ago today, I was trying to get all the paper work done to get graduation in line, I was trying to not be mad at winter! A year ago today, I was focused on finding Summer work and finishing school.

Now today, I don't sit in my parents basement watching Spongebob or have to write papers. I don't have to worry about "grades" any more or have to worry about that assignment that is due in 20 minutes. Today I am sitting in Columbia Falls, MT. I am sitting in a house that is not my parents. I am getting ready for day 1 of this 5 month adventure. I am figuring out what to do next. Today I am on my own!

It all starts today. We have had the two weeks of training that left our heads spinning out of control. We now know everything we need to, to be able to hit the road and have a successful trip! Today we hold our first every auditions to cast the show Jungle Book! We will be casting a show of 64 people! That means that two tour actors will be in charge of 64 amazing children that want to be apart of this world of theatre, or at least put their foot in the waters.

I am nervous, needless to say, but I am prepared to be able to hit this day running and not "lose my cool" with the ship starts to sink. As I was told during Training: "you can either run from that sinking ship, or you can fight through it." And taking this words from a trainer, I will fight through it!

As it all starts today, the good emotions and vibes need to be here!

The job

Hello all,

Well today is offically New Years Eve and the year is over, but a new one is starting!:) be prepared!!

As I am writing this, it is almost 1am, and I had a recent thought a few minutes ago that I have to share.

While I was walking back from some TAD's hotel room (Tour Actor Director), it hit me stone cold in the face. Either it was this thought or the fact that it is 5 degrees outside.

In my life, I have experienced many "jobs!" From paid to not paid, and even volunteer, each one has thought me something. How ever (minus volunteering) what ever job I had, it was not satisfying and felt like a job, it was work.

I even told myself that I NEVER want to have a job that I feel that I am forced to go to work. All of my past work, they were amazing experiences and had great memories, but I felt forced to go and never did I feel like I wanted to go. I think SFSTL was the closest as I got to operate a roller coaster, but other then that, I never wanted to go.

Well tonight, it really hit me. I new that this line of work, theatre/performing/art/etc., is my field Because I don't feel forced to go to work, I don't feel miserable when I wake up early, and I don't feel bored.

I wake up with my heart full of love and excitement, I don't frown at a 12 hour day, I want to get there as soon as possible, I want to dive into my material,am and I never feel as if this is work!

I have found what I told myself, when I was younger, what I wanted in a job!

It has only been day two, we have work for 24 of those hours (with breaks for lunch and dinner) and it blows me away! It does not feel like that at all!!

What I want to tell people is that you need to find that job, that feels like a passion, where hours don't matter, where love is so abundance that hate can't fit in, where stories of greatness are told and not stories of crap! When you wake up you see a smile, because you are working the best job in the world.

The first sign to finding this job, is not work think about money first. Your investigation needs to be looking at what your passions are and seeing what work or jobs for that, then your budget can come into play.

My goal for each and every single one of you, that read this, to go out there in 2015 and find something you love! Wether it be a job or a hobby! Find the passion and drive!! Fill your heart with love!

Speaking of hobbies, what are some of your hobbies, passions, or interests? Let me know in the comment section!

Have a great New Years,

Daniel Sukup

The mind

When, I close my eyes
I see the thrills of imagination
I see love,
I see joy,
I create this world,
I am like a God,
The mind is freeing.
When I open eyes,
I look,
I see,
I feel the canvas,

Friday the 13th

Hello all!

It is a wonderful day! A nice temperature, beautiful sun, and a beautiful breeze!

In short a great day to run!:)

So many thoughts travel my mind as I run! Many of which are to find answers to questions or find new questions.

Today it dawned on me that I asked a question last summer about why people keep returning back to Tecumseh! and I received many vague answers. Mostly, "you will find out when you get there."

It was not until today, on my run, that I can now answer that question 100%.

My pervious answer is still true. This show has changed my prespective on life and has influenced me in amazing ways! The cast becomes your second family. They are their for you. The mountain is extremely relaxing and enjoyable. Finally you get to act in the best outdoor drama there is!

All of these statements are 100% true but did not answer the question of why many people return 100%.

I have concluded that everyone has a different reason. For me it is all of that stated above and then more. When running in Great Seal State Park, I get to see things many people don't get to enjoy. I am able to find my harmony and peace here. It may sound strange to you, but there is this relationship for me when I am away from the city. Nature is amazing and beautiful! This little bit more sugar adds to my answer of why people keep coming back. I am so excited to be back!

Some odd reason it makes a perfect solution and rejuvenates me.

I think I can also add the fact that people remember you and it makes it more special to be back.

As I continued to run, another thought pooped up: what can I do, as an artist, when running?

I thought of an awesome idea. Remember Yes Man? There is a section that they run and take photos. This thought seemed crazy, but I decided to do it.

I used my iphone, not becuase it was the only thing on me, but becuase it will try not to focus as much to take a photo when move, like my sony A5X.

Here are some of the shots from today:

 The swirl

Focus in

The light

Time

Watch your step.

There are many more photos that will be published on Facebook and Flickr.

I am going to continue to mess with this idea and see what I can do to develop amazing shots.

-----

Finally as I sit here on this amazing rock:

That one^

I think to myself that I get to do this everyday! I listen to the birds, the wind, and relax. It is crazy when you just listen and look how great this earth can make you feel!

Have a beautiful Friday the 13th. I don't care that it happens to be the 13th, but it is FRIDAY!

Lets rock this show out tonight!

What is She Doing Now?

WHAT IS SHE DOING NOW?

Welcome to the 3rd installment of 'What is she doing now?' This week got really heated! As we observed this lion in her natural state, we see things that have never been seen before! The observation continues as we dive deeper. This week is seems that she is feeling at easy, she does not know we are here now!

We have not gotten any braver to move closer, however the camera lens does provide a great zooming feature! We are hoping that we will be able to upgrade this feature for you, to get an even closer look at this lioness.

First off, the day started off just as usual:

Lately we have noticed that this is starting to be a normal thing. She will get on an educational website to make it seems that she is about to do something productive. We feel that this is a way to lure for prey to come into her space, however we have not seen this to work for her benefit. We are still out for debate for her reasoning behind getting on the educational website!

As this journey continued, we witnessed something that has not been seen to date! We must warn you that the image you are about to see is not suitable for everyone, you have been warned!

This is just unbelievable!! I was staring over at her when I witnessed that she was on Walmart's website! This was so shocking that I did not have time to grab the attention of my partner but was able to take this photo. Lucky my partner was able to witness this strange occurrence after I took the photo. Now why would she be on walmart.com when we are talking about the Baroque period in Art History? This is just shocking! But maybe it was for educational reasons!

Wait never mind:

This image just shows why we need to think about moving in closer, since it is hard to tell what this image is. This website belongs to a 4 wheeler company, could not tell you which one, but maybe this is why she was on walmart.com? To buy a 4 wheeler? What does this lioness want to do? Escape?

However the high tension in the air was soon cut and we could see that she is talking to her cubs on Facebook! This is something very normal for this lioness!

To be honest it was quite nice seeing her talking to her 'cubs', it provides a since of relaxation!
However that this was soon over:

This final image was more about her reaction then the website. She has this look of I don't give a dam! This is extremely disrespecting when she is in a class to learn from a professor that loves the subject. IT just adds to it that she is on pinterest. I guess I will not ever understand why a person would want to take a class that they are paying over $1,100 for!! RIDICULOUS!!

Thank you for following along on this journey, tomorrow will be a very interesting one! We are taking a test in this class, hope she can handle the pressure!
