The Safari Coninues

This will be the final installment of "what is she doing now?" Series! 

We have been sitting in the wilderness for some time now without seeing any action! Some strange reason she has done her "normal" routine by getting on Facebook and sitting there!

Could this be becuase we recently had a student confront her? We may never know! 

How ever, when we started to pack up from our safari, we did catch one final glimpse with much beauty. 

Like normal, she was on her email. What shocked me was her passive sitting. This was something new and we could tell something new was going to happen. 

ZOMG! It was some new website, not Pinterest! I do know that much! She was actively engaged not in the class, but this new fangled site. 

I have to applaud the website designer for making a very beautiful designed site! They managed to... Wait this is not about the site but about her! Ugh. 

For some reason she does not inderstand the value of art history! I wonder what her grade is! If she manages to pass then more props to her! 

Now we continued to pack up our equipment from this safari, this lioness managed to do one more thing that shocked me! 

Yes the computer screen is off! If you notice she has not started to pack up! Then what could she be doing!? Did she lose power? Decide that $1100 sitting at a computer was stupid!? 

I will have to argue that she was simply "checked out" before class was over. This happened with 15 minutes left of class. 

At this point we were don't packing and it was time to leave this amazing safari! It has been an amazing experience to be able to capture such rare photos of these creatures in the wild! 

I can't wait to schedule our next safari!

What is She Doing Now?

WHAT IS SHE DOING NOW?

Welcome to the 3rd installment of 'What is she doing now?' This week got really heated! As we observed this lion in her natural state, we see things that have never been seen before! The observation continues as we dive deeper. This week is seems that she is feeling at easy, she does not know we are here now!

We have not gotten any braver to move closer, however the camera lens does provide a great zooming feature! We are hoping that we will be able to upgrade this feature for you, to get an even closer look at this lioness.

First off, the day started off just as usual:

Lately we have noticed that this is starting to be a normal thing. She will get on an educational website to make it seems that she is about to do something productive. We feel that this is a way to lure for prey to come into her space, however we have not seen this to work for her benefit. We are still out for debate for her reasoning behind getting on the educational website!

As this journey continued, we witnessed something that has not been seen to date! We must warn you that the image you are about to see is not suitable for everyone, you have been warned!

This is just unbelievable!! I was staring over at her when I witnessed that she was on Walmart's website! This was so shocking that I did not have time to grab the attention of my partner but was able to take this photo. Lucky my partner was able to witness this strange occurrence after I took the photo. Now why would she be on walmart.com when we are talking about the Baroque period in Art History? This is just shocking! But maybe it was for educational reasons!

Wait never mind: 

This image just shows why we need to think about moving in closer, since it is hard to tell what this image is. This website belongs to a 4 wheeler company, could not tell you which one, but maybe this is why she was on walmart.com? To buy a 4 wheeler? What does this lioness want to do? Escape?

However the high tension in the air was soon cut and we could see that she is talking to her cubs on Facebook! This is something very normal for this lioness! 

To be honest it was quite nice seeing her talking to her 'cubs', it provides a since of relaxation! 

However that this was soon over:

This final image was more about her reaction then the website. She has this look of I don't give a dam! This is extremely disrespecting when she is in a class to learn from a professor that loves the subject. IT just adds to it that she is on pinterest. I guess I will not ever understand why a person would want to take a class that they are paying over $1,100 for!! RIDICULOUS!!

Thank you for following along on this journey, tomorrow will be a very interesting one! We are taking a test in this class, hope she can handle the pressure!

For anyone that did not hear, but I was admitted into my first ever art show!!! 

The Juried Student Art show is currently at Lindenwood University until April 27th!! 

I was so excited, I did not know what to expect!!!

Here is my art piece (bottom piece)! It has an official name tag and everything!:) 

A close up image! This was done in my 2D design class. The assignment was to find your "happy place" and make it out of photocopied paper!! Thank you Christina for your guidance!!!

Below was the most rewarding moment ever!!

To see people enjoy your work is incredible! To see then look at it is incredible!! The fact that I was admitted into the art show shocked me!! That means someone out there likes my art!:) 

Now they did have an award ceremony, unfortunately I did not get one. It does not matter because this was my first art show ever!!! Also out of the mixed media category, only 3 were chosen!! That means that I got 2nd or 3rd, they gave a first place award!!!!

Ok well I had to share my excitement!!!!:)

This is happens to another examination of 

What is she doing now?

This week we are presented with a completely new attitude, something must have agitated the environment! Everything has changed, we see something that has not been see since the start of the semester! What is it?

A word of Caution: This can be EXTREMELY GRAPHIC! We are looking at the wild environment of college students in one of the most painful environments: CLASS!! This has been known to have very controversial images that have proven to cause heart attacks and other pains not normally experienced by humans. If this happens contact your doctor ASAP!!

We are starting off with the calmness of a normal creature looking at their Facebook, I wonder what interesting she could be learning on her Newsfeed. I highly doubt that it is another Baroque!

OMG! WAIT WHAT! We are getting on an educational website! My mind is blown! I am in shock, but relieved that this still can exist!! There maybe hope after all!!

Well as this day ticked on, I noticed that I saw the eyes get very active, however in this wild environment it can really only mean one thing: Lost of focus and attention span. This has proven to be true, yet again! We are presented with something not seen in all of the semester: PHOTOSHOP! My tour party was thrilled to learn something new while learning about Art History!! I now know how to open an image and click buttons!!

HOLY, MANOLY!! Do my eyes deceive me?? Can that be a word document that has text on it? Can it really be true? First we have an educational website up, then we have NOTES!!! WHAT! This is not reality, I must be tripping on something! This wild student is taking NOTES in ART HISTORY!! OMG!!

Well........ that lasted long....NOT! We are back to Pintrest, well at least our tour group can rest in peace knowing that she is back in her relaxing state of mind and will not attack anytime soon! I was getting worried there for a second that there was going to be at least 45 minutes of productivity!!

And finally, a blog! HAHA she is read what looks like a blog. I wonder if wild students will ever find out about this post about our great adventure in this classroom? That would present an very interesting experience in this expedition!! 

One of my favorite things is seeing students waste their education class time with pointless googling and not paying attention. We pay over 1K for these classes, should we not make the most of them, even if they are boring? ASK QUESTIONS and maybe you will learn something! People say I talk way to much, but I have learn so much in Art History class that I love this class!!

Anyways, this expedition will return after a miniature hiatus. We will be back in APRIL!!

What is she doing now?

Welcome to the very first post of many regarding:

"What is she doing now?" 

This is a blog about a certain female in one of my classes. She is never paying attention to the class, and sometimes has some very interesting things on her computer she is looking at. Here is part 1! Enjoy!

First post we see the female subject in her natural habitat! She is looking relaxed, engaged in class, and present. However we take a closer look and what do we find? Well we do see that she is on her computer, could she really be a good student? Her relaxed position and engaged look seem to present the idea that she is a 'teacher's pet', but upon further inspection we find....

We find that she is fact not taking notes! But this has to be educational regarding Art History, right? Does anyone know if that webpage looks like? Google, I think, wait I am wrong that looks like an art website! Wait you are tell me, Daniel Sukup, that I am wrong? How could I be! 

"Look closer, it happens to be Facebook."

NO There is no way a student would not pay attention in Art History (personally I find it extremely interesting)! I can not believe this is happening, this is a cruel world that we live in! Oh the humanity!!

There has to be something good about her not paying attention , right? 

OF COURSE! Every person has something good intentions! I don't have to look at my iPad for the time, or my watch! All I have to do it look at her and I will know what time it is - ON THE DOT! 

(I will admit that I do this in one of my classes also, but at least this class has some knowledge that we can take from it if we listen.)

Well I want to thank her for the entertainment that she has provided for the weeks in school so far! I look forward to featuring her for the rest of the semester! look forward to Thursday for more, "What is she doing now?" I hear we are in for a good show! We may see a video pop up!
