Life is Incredible.

Life is simply amazing.

It is the ultimate gift.

We have one life.

Be in the present. Be in the now.

I say this because just recently I lost an incredible friend and mentor. Her battle with cancer is finally over and now she is playing the piano above and looking down at all of her students preforming on the stage.

It will be strange not seeing her. But I know that see will always be there.

Life is the greatest gift given to us.

Each stage of life teaches lessons that help us along this journey and we may not realize at the moment the lessons presented.

Life is precious.

You will never know when this gift will end for the physical world. This is why we have to take time and cherish every moment, respect ever moment, and learn at each stage of life.

Life is short.

In our terms it may seem long, however with a blink of an eye it is over. It may last  X amount of Earth years, but eventually we will be back to our father. That is when our spirit is continued.

Life will end.

This is the truth that all need to understand and it should not be feared but celebrated. It is sad to see the physical body end as the spirit travels on. But in the end this world is a placeholder as the spirit travels to the one gift that is great then physical life: eternal life.

Have an amazing day today. Make memories that last forever. Spread Positivity. Erase Hate. Live in harmony.

A Moon View Away

A Moon View Away

Traveling on a cruise ship has so many perks, a big one is traveling. Traveling has always been a major dream of mine. Over every other dream, I have always wanted to experience other cultures, meet new people, and experience new places.

Don't get me wrong, working in a job you love (theatre) does not hurt either.

However, traveling comes with one major downfall for my personality. When I meet these new people and experience these new cultures, a bond is formed. Many times this bond is like glue, never wanting to come apart. It becomes hard.

Maybe I have to much emotion. Maybe I form to strong of relationships. But at the end of the day, that feeling I get (like ripping duct tape off your leg hair), just proves that it all means something.

If this has ever been experienced by any of you, always remember that you are a moon view away!

I just got off the phone with my Mother, and it is hard sometimes, ok let us be real is sucks, but we have to remember that technology is incredible and the moon is always in view! When I can't call, I simply look up! I know that my family is looking up.

As I go down this life trail, I have to start thinking that each moment is a feeling. Sometimes this feeling hurts (in a good way), and this tells us it was important.

I hope this message helped you in some way.

Never forget someone out there is missing you.
Never forget you influenced someone. Never forget we are all in this together.

Family

Ok, by now most people know my next big adventure! Look for a post here soon about what cities I will be going to soon!

Today I want to talk about family. I have talked about family many times, each one a little different. Now I get to write as an "adult".

I have been "unemployed" for over a month. I use quotation marks because I had a future job in line!

Since September 4th, I have been at home, with the company of my family. For the first month, it was nice but I was getting restless and annoyed not working. Not know when I was going to my next job was putting a blind up on cherishing my time with family. I was enjoying it, but not to the degree that I should have been.

Once I learned about my job on September 30th, I then had an end date wth family. I was given one more month with family. This was exciting, this took the blinds away and allowed me to fully embrace my family and understand that it was not going to be "forever".

Now, with less then a month before I go on my cruise, my time with family has been more Cherishable and memorable.

It hit me, why do I need to know an end date to value family more then what I was? Having a date that it ends, forces us to take in every moment more then when we don't know.

If we keep going through life acting like we have forever, then each moment will never reach the richness it could.

However, if we live as if the next day it all ends, each moment of that day will be richer. Making memories that are vivid and complete.

Out of these two months, I can guarantee that I will remember this last month more then my first month, simply on the fact that I have an end date.

Just remember, out of all of this, cherish each moment because we don't know when it will all end.

Thank you
Daniel Sukup

Arnold's Park

What a fun surprise it was when I found out how close I was to Arnold's Park! Of course I needed to get my credit on the 'Ledgend' to get my coaster count that much closer to 100!

This was a very small park, but did offer some flat rides that you will not see at any major park. That was treat in itself.

The entrance to the park is a very unique one! To be honest this is one of my favorites, to bad that is the real coaster going over!!

After you park, you are invited to play on insturments at the harmony park! This was a blast and could see people really enjoyed playing!

After this park, you can enter the amusement park!:D

The first stop was the tipsy house! I have never been in one and I was very pleased! It goes right over the Ledgend coaster!!

Dad trying to sit down on a bench!

The now famous 'Point of No Return' sign! With smaller parks they don't have loose article signs or rules, so taking a picture of this sign was not breaking the rules!;)

You know, I know these don't mean anything new when it comes to landmarks, but they are so much fun to read about! Ledgend is the 13th oldest coaster in the world!!

This ride I have heard about from other enthusiasts and it did not disappoint! This is the most ghetto ride I have ever been on! It is best experienced then talked about!

I am going to guess that this used to be for their old roller coaster that used to be in the park. Now they have a log flume!:D "we're on a log flume..."

This small ride is best described as a super mini Huss swing! This ride swings and spins, but as you can tell, it is very small!!

Leaving the park!:( it was a super fun trip! This shops outside the park are fun, but the best hidden secret is the boat museum!! They have Arnold Park history in side and it was a treat to see what the park used to be!!

This is a working haunted figure from their haunted ride they used to have!

Anyways, the park was very fun and I enjoyed it A lot!! Very small, unique, and home to a very old coaster!

Till next time,

Inside Out

Hello all,

What a beautiful day, well cloudy weather here, to write words in a digital relam. Recently I saw the movie 'Inside Out' and Pixar did not disapoint me in my movie going adventures. I don't want to write a review on the movie, becuase it would the be world's shorest review: AWESOME! Instead, I want to write about something that it made me feel: Family.

I have been working away from my family for 9 months now. Unlike school, where I could visit and miss classes, real worldness you don't have that option as much! Out of these 9 months I have not lived closer then 13 hours away from my family, and the furtest being 22 hours, has been intesting to say the least.

It has not really hit me until recently on how much family means to me, even more so then in college. Family is my support beam that has been there to hold me up while I get my footing in this real world lifestyle. Pushing me to hold strong to my dream and never letting go of my drive to do the impossible.

Honestly, I miss my family so much and would love to spend a lot of time with them but I know that if I want to reach my dreams, I would be doing more harm to the support of my family by coming back to "safety". It is a tough road as an adult (I am finding out) but it is a beautiful one. It reminds me of summer vactions, just hasve to pay for everything!

How does this all fit into 'Inside Out'? If you have seen the movie, it deals with emotions and more precisely interactions with family. After seening it, it forced me to reflect about my family and my life. All in good vibes.

That is todays thought!

Daniel Sukup

P.S. I hope you all are enjoyingn summer, we got nailed yesterday with ann extreme rain and flash flooding was a major concern. The stage is getting fixed today and will be ready for tonight preformance! Our AT's are some of the best people around this season and could not thank them enough for all the hard work they have done! So to al of the AT's THANK YOU!!

With Age it All Makes Sense.

Well that title is about 10% true. Let's be honest, for all of my friends and family that is older then me, does it really make sense when you get older?

In my experience, somethings have started to make sense, but I feel I am left with more questions then answers. However, one things is for sure, growing up and moving out has provided me with more answers then questions.

When we are all children, we don't have this understanding of time, we frolic through the vines of adventure as if time was never in existence. We take for granted the moments with our family and tend to argue more then love or appreciate them. We eventually get to the point that we wish we were free from their grasps. As exciting as that seems then, it has been more brutal then any other wish. I wish I would have listened to Peter Pan sometimes.

On the flip side, it is a beautiful wish. From college to "the real world", I have come ever more closer to my parents the further I have gotten from them. Every second with them is a dream of reality that is more magical then a first visit to Disney World.

As for the part that make sense; we need to grow up to understand the beauty we had as a child to be able to grow and see the world for what it is: a gift. For myself, it has been the biggest lesson I have learned from life: time moves fast and we need to be awake to experience the greatness.

Personally I feel that if I had not made that "wish" when I was younger then I would not have the appreciation I have now for family, friends, and life.

I may still have many question and few answers and I am only 23, but the answers I do have, have allowed me to have a new understanding of life, family, and the world around me. Knowing that at any second it will be gone has awaken me to a new degree.

My challenge to all of you: be awake and don't take anything for granted. Time moves quickly and it can be very scary!!

Family Christmas 2014

Hello all,

I think it has to be mentioned first to the world:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! I love you more then anything in the world! I could not thank you enough for your support in my life and my crazy "real world" adventures that start offically tomorrow! With your guidance, I will be able to hit the moon and launch to the stars! From the bottom of my heart I thank you and will forever be in debt to you! I love you and happy birthday!

It has been a crazy week to say the least. I have not been able to write for some time now. Since graduation it has been a non stop adventure of extreme highs and lows. From the stress of packing to the excitment of travel. This Christmas was not only a treat, but a magical journey to a far away land.

Now before I talk about this magical land, I want to write about family and holiday seasons. No matter what holiday it is, and no matter what trip or gatheriing the family has it can cause for some extrme stress and, well, intresting emotional moments that make us say things that we will always regret.

The thing is with family, they are always there you when you need them for support or talking to. However, they are there when you are annoyed or angered. This is what family does, they love you to death. They will never leave you, no matter the words that are stated, no matter the emotional response, and no matter the time. Family is a magical thing, at least my family is.

We are no where near perfect! We fight, we anger, we annoy, we look down on, but we support, we love, we give, we value, we create, we hold one, we breath, and so much more. Even all of the negtives that we do face in our life, we have such a strong bond that non of this matters when traveling or gathers and fights or angers spur up. We have a unity that works for us. Again, we are no where near pefect, we are not the "greatest family in the world" and we are no where near the "happiest family in the world" either, BUT we ARE the a unique group that know each other's ins and outs and I wold never trade that for anything!

I write about family first because this time a year, many people are stressed, Decemeber has turned into a month of hell and not a month of love. However, we need to step back and look at what we do have, look at the beautiful moments we have with family and understand that they aar always there and will never leave. After all of the negative moments, and hatred, and evil, taking a momennt to breath and understand the value of family and how much they should mean to you. That is all I ask from each of my readers, value family.

Now onto the juicy parts

This year, as a family we took the most amazing, breath taking trip to Mexico! I have never traveled outside of the country and the adventure of going to some far away land excited me more then anything I have done in many years. The most forign land I have been to as this point in my life was South Dakota. Where we did many fishing trips to the middle of no where land ( I really do miss those days).

On this fmaily trip, we were out of the country for 7 days in Tulum Mexico area. We stated at this beautiful beach side resort that offered everything you could imagine! All the food and drinks were included...lets just say this can be very dangerous... and the beach had some of the whitest sands I hhave seen in my life (besides 2007 in Florida by Tampa).

I do want to warn you that I will not have photos in this post. They are all on my phone and I am in a plane bored typing this. With out any photos, I will not go into detail about everything just an overall "YOU NEED TO GO HERE" type of thing.

Besides the resort, food, drinks, and beaches, there are many EXTREMLY AMAZING things this part of Mexico has to offer. Basically this area is home to one of the eight wonders of the world: The Mayan Temples. We did not go to this one, but we did go to the last one you could climb. If I was you, I would go to this one, because once this one stops allowing climbers there are no more to climb. The "Wounder of the World" would be amazing to see if you care about seeing all of the wounders, but if you care more about not being to crowed, then this is a must. WARNING it can get crowed.

Other then the Ruins, this area is home to the second largest corral reef in the world!!! This can offer amazing snorkeling and sucba diving, but when we went the waters were very choppy and made the water extremely cloudy. However if you watch water conditions, this will be magical!! Now I do suggest going to a cove area, if waters are choppy. These areas will be calmer and clearer.

Now there is so much to do in thiis part of Mexico, we only did the two things I mentioned. 1) becuase we only had 7 days and 2) becuase we did this trip to get away and relax not to be active. So much more too explore! The history of the city of Tulum and Akumal is simply outstanding and both cities are a must visit!

Enough talking about our trip...without photos this is REALLY BORING! Look for the next post to come  VERY SOON!:D

Otherwise I hope each and every single one of you had the most amazing Christmas/insert all other holidays and was able to create beautiful memories that will be able to be told as stories in the future. Also hace an EXTREMLY safe NEW YEARS!!

Much love and excitment,

Daniel Sukup

Thanksgiving

Wow! Two holidays in one post...ok, just one, the other is just a social norm to call it a holiday.

Hello All,

How was your thanksgiving?! Was it spent eating a lot of food, spending time with family or was it focused on SHOPPING FOR AMAZING DEALS?! Lets just say that if you choose the shopping over thanksgiving, you are part of the problem.

When did shopping in this country become the best damn thing since the history of man (thought I was going to say sliced bread)?

The deals that are offered on Black Friday could happen every single day, however you greedy business don't want to hurt their profit margins and thus only offer the deals one day a year. Should like you should go out and save thousands....or you could say screw it and not go out and spend hundreds.

Thanksgiving is a time for family, maybe if we started to spend time for family many problems in this country would be solved. We have become so materialistic in this country that it is not even funny any more.

Maybe, we need to start acting like we are apart of this human race, start caring for each other, start having emotional connections. Instead of worrying about having the latest and greatest product available. Stop acting like the 1% and start acting like a human.

If you really want that product, then get it some other time. Saving $200 on something is basically stating that you are willing to sell your family for $200. Is your family worth that much? If not, then stop this crap of "Black Friday" and spend it with meaningful people. Sit down and have real conversations, have laughs, cries, and the sharing of memories. You only get one thanksgiving a year. Take this away from hanging with meaningful people, that is one less time you get in a year. You can shop the rest of the 365 days, but let Thanksgiving and other holidays be about the people that mean the most to you.

Ok, I need to stop. Have an amazing weekend! I hope it is filled with memories and not items.

Beautiful weekend

This past weekend I made a trip to this incredible place I call her me!

Hello all,

Hope all is well! Let the adventures begin for a new week!

As I was saying, I went home last weekend and it was a blast! Went camping with my family, did nothing but relax. Now the only thing that was hard about this trip: 6.5 hour drive! No matter how much I drive that rode, I get so bored!!

Any who, when I drive I get to thinking about things! I am very excited to say that is have come up with some ideas for a theatre company that I shall create in the way future!

This juice of this post is simply that I am reflecting everyday on my life, college career, my profession, and many other things. I am heading into a new chapter of my life and I am more then ready to grab my pen and write, but sometimes it gets a little nerve racking!

I do know I will have a lot of chapters in my life, it may be a long book, but I do know that when I am done, it will be a best seller!:) I hope that you all enjoy this ride I am going on and you are apart of! Without you, who would know my adventures!?

Anyways, keep an eye out this week for more information on my next job, new writings (may get into short stories this week), maybe you will see some drawings! It will be a mashed up week, but it wi be fun!

Have an amazing week,

Daniel!

Final week pt. 7

Hahahaha you thought that I was done with part 6, well I am not! Lol

Hello all,

Yes, I have finished the show and a stricked all of my props, costumes, wigs, and guns. I have left my cabin and the beautiful mountain! Then what could be part 7?

The drive!

All I can say, once done with strike I tired to sleep. I had a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes of sleep and had a 7 hour drive ahead of me.

I left at 4am and did not arrive in STL until 10:42am.

I was able to say goodbye to a good friend at Crispie Creme and have some doughnuts one more time!:)

Pasted Kings Island at 5:36 am, the fastest ever to get to that park!:)

The worst photo of the park possible, but hell I don't care!:)

Said goodbye to my Banshee and the park itself!

Still had a long drive ahead of me.

Finally I made it! My parents welcomed me and I went into the hotel to relax.. So I thought.

First I had a huge surprise: my brother!! He totally surprised me and he has help my parents move me into my dorm.

After that surprise, we finished up with my dorm, and then headed downtown STL to the ball park village.

This is my first time here and it is INCREDIBLE! Beer is not horribly priced and the atmosphere is awesome! Love this place!!

The rest of the day will be trying to stay awake and have fun with my parents. Speaking of fun, I am ditching this post to hang out with them! Make fun of me becuase I don't care, my family is the coolest in the world!!

Family and Memories

Hello all,
This past weekend I had some very special guest come visit me in Chillicothe! I bet you can guess who they were! If not, they were my Parents and my Godfather Greg!

We had so much fun this past weekend and so many great memories were formed that I so will not forget!

They arrived saturday around 3pm and surprised me at the coffee shop while I was watching a soccer game!

We were able to have lunch that afternoon before I had to go to work.

They did not see the show saturday, however I raced to get my post show stuff done to be able to see them that night!

Sunday we had the full day to ourselves! It is my day off and we all decided to go to Hocking Hill State Park! We went to the major attractions at Hocking Hills. The Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, and Old Man's Cave. We did not make it to Rock House this summer, but we will next summer, if I am back!
Below are the adventures taken at Hocking Hills:

This was Ash Cave. It was our first stop of the day! Ash Cave features a 100 foot tall water fall and a beautiful look at some of the best hidden secrets of Ohio!

This photo to the right was taken as we were hiking to the top. I really should not say hiking, because they have stairs. Anyways, you can see all three of them in a very blurry photo!:)

Now when we finally got to the top, only took some time because I wanted to explore, my mom wanted a photo on top of the ledge you see in the photo. This really does not do it justice. The ledge she is sitting on is about 100 feet above the ground. This was near the waterfall in that area.

I go on top of the waterfall and looked down, don't worry the waterfall was not going strong and I was being very safe. I stayed on solid dry rock and laid down and looked over.

Ok on the left and right we took selfies on one of my favorite parts of the Hocking Hills: The old Fire lookout tower! It stands about 90 feet off the ground and we climbed, or walked, all the way up to the top! This is a big deal because it really is not a easy as it sounds. Once up there, it gets very nerve racking by thinking that you have such a small surface area holding you up as you are walking up these steps. Non-the-less we made it and had to take some selfies to show off to the world!

This image shows you well what we climbed. The stairs get smaller and smaller as you climb up to the top! It was really neat to be able to look out and see all of the Hocking Hills area!

If you get a chance to go here you need to!
It is worth the trip and it one of the best kept secrets of Ohio!

Now we are going to go a little out of order and talk about my adventures that I have to have when I go somewhere new! This photos were taken at Old Man's Cave and I decided to do some exploring!!

The photo to the right is an image showing how small the crack was that I wanted to go into. However I could not manage to fit in that spot, but I was determined to see what was on the other side!

This happens to be the other side of that small crack. It was a much larger path that provided a great hiding spot and nice shelter from the heat. It was really dark on this path but it was very neat!

Below is a photo of a ledge that I found to be really cool. With blogger being a big jerk right now, I am unable to show you the height of the ledge or the awesomeness that I saw from the ledge. However this photo does do some justice on the path that I had to take to get to this ledge I am talking about.

This ledge that I made it on was about 75 feet off the ground and provided amazing views below and all around. It was very secluded and provided some peace. I will have to go bace here to sit there and listen!

Now we are slowing getting back on track. This is the famous face in the tree, tree. Ok it may not be that famous, but to me it is!! I love this tree and I will always take a photo of it! If you can find this tree in the Hocking Hills then you have to send me a photo!!

To the right is a snap shot of the Old Man's Cave. He lived in this over hang for so many years until he was discovered. I can't remember if he was dead or alive upon discovery.

And finally my mom going through a small man made cave to get to the lower part of this attraction. It was a greatly cool view and fun to go through these small tunnels. I don't want to call them caves because they are man made.

After we hit up the rest of the Old Man's Cave, we drove back into Chillicothe and got ready for some dinner.

We ate at the Old Smoke House on water street, and it was AMAZING! I was a treat to buy my parents dinner. It was a Mother's day/Father's day gift. We decided to do that instead of buying gifts. I think it was well worth it because of the memories had at that dinner table!

Finally we got back to the hotel and enjoyed the hot tub and relaxed for the rest of the night!

Monday:

They saw my TOUR and SHOW!!! They loved the tour, even though it was not as crazy as it could have been. Plus they really enjoyed the Highfall section, where I fall 25 feet on to a fall pad!!

They really loved the show and I could not be happier. They loved seeing me doing different stuff this year and even commented on how many bodies I am carry off this year (4). They also loved the small changes that happened compared to this year.

They mentioned that even though they have seen it once, it was like seeing it for the first time again. They simply just love it!!

After the show they waited of me. I have the best parents ever! I raced to get my post-show done so I could see them again!

Tuesday:

Again we did not do much, relaxed and had a great time sitting back and talking.

They went to see the show again, this time focusing more on what I am doing then the show. They do this just to see everything I do.

This was a unique show because during the second act lighting was happening like crazy. It did not rain until 5 minutes after the show, then it came down pouring.

Again they waited for me to arrive, and we drove back to the hotel!

Wednesday:

This was their last day here. It was incredibly hard to say our "see you later" but it had to be done!

They left around noon! At least I had the morning with them!

I am forever grateful that I got to spend the time that I did with them! I had such a great time and got to have so much fun with them! I will be looking forward to seeing them at the end of august to move me back into school for my final semester!

Thank you for spending the time with me and have a great rest of the summer!

I love you so much!

8 days to go!

One week and one day! Wow!

Time on the mountain travels at different speeds on different days. It feels like I have been living on Sugarloaf Mountain for months now, but it only has been a handful of days.

The rehearsal process has been 'speeding up' time. I can't believe we open in 8 days but at the same time it feels like a life time.

This year has been extremely interesting with the rehearsal process. We have been surgar coating everything little by little. A little horse action here, some fire there, and a nice layer of costumes. Slowly everything has been added and it looks, feels, and breaths Tecumseh!

This summer the cast is super strong, we have become family in a short time (knock on wood that it stays that way), I feel as if I have known these actors for a lifetime!

Everything has been going super smoothly. Even the highfalls. This year there are only 4 people performing them. Sam (the instructor) has it extremely easy becuase 3 of the high fallers have done it in the past. With only one new learner, the process will go very smooth this summer!

Summer...that reminds me that weather can get hot. Fortunately it has been like last summer, in that it is cool/warm but unfortunately wet. Hopefully It will not be as wet as last summer but that still has to develop.

As for now, I must be off to rehearsal. We moved rehearsals from 10am to 11am to be able to start at show time! Looking forward to our first 'show time' run tonight!

Just Thinking!

Hello all,

We had our first read through for nightfall! And what fun this will be! Every actor is amazing and super strong! This show is going to be funny but at the same time serious!

Can't wait to keep you all updated!

In other news yesterday was the 4th of July -if you did not know that then well are a horrible person! We made it through our show! It was honestly my favorite show for many reasons. First it started to rain about the half way point in act 2! This made the fighting and being on stage interesting enough to make it a very memorable experience!

Secondly I was having a hard week in trying to stay in the show, but that all changed last night! I was able to get out of my head and have fun and connect again! Early this week I was not on auto Pilot, but it was Routine and I needed to switch it up, this is excatly what I do when I run! I have to have a new path each time or I get bored.

Over all it was just a very fun show last night and looking forward to tonight!!

Right now I am sitting on top of the sugarloaf mountain, so peaceful and allows me to open my thoughts and think. I have been thinking about what has been going on in the last month and a half! I could not be more thrilled with this experience. At times it feels sureal that I am a working actor. I am in Ohio this full summer, working as an actor! This is so amazing to me! I am so blessed to have this opportunity and I pray that it will continue!

The cast has been amazing! I could not ask for a better crew to be around 24/7. We support each other in ways that I could not explain other then we are a family tightly bound.

Thank you to everyone in my life that has helped me reach my dream! I want to extend a bigger thank you to the people that wanted me to turn around and not face my dreams, you all pushed me harder to prove to you that dreams do come true and it can happen to each person if you but your full heart into it.

Like I tell many people, I would rather live my life doing what I love and retire poor then to live a life not doing what I love and retire wealthy.

Money is simply paper, it cannot define you. Your dreams, love, passion, and heart define who you are.

Love you all and sorry for such a long post!:) remember to keep the child in you at all times!
