Christmas

Merry (belated) Christmas!!

I hope everyone had an amazing Holiday season. We only have one more holiday in 2015!! That is a crazy thought!!

Well, this was my first Christmas away from family, and to be honest it was not hard but it did not feel like Christmas!

Onthis ship, they try to do everything they can do to make it Christmas. We decorate (not elaborate), Santa visits, they provide different types of mass, and us crew get different treats.

The last part was the nicest!! They gave us 4 days of free internet! 2 very nice dinners! A large book bag (it is very nice to be honest)! And an all crew party!! This 4 day cruise has been very strange, but it has been a treat. To bad it won't last!;)

Other then the extra stuff the ship does for crew, the only other differences are the extra activities for guests. Over all, it just did not feel like Christmas!

Our next cruise, which is about to start will be our New Years Crusie!! I will be on duty so I will be pulling the ballon drop! Not going to lie, I am so looking forward to making 1000+ balloons drop!!

I hope everyone had an incredible month of December. It seems that December is always the hardest month! I pray that everyone is safe and well!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Family Christmas 2014

Hello all,

I think it has to be mentioned first to the world:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! I love you more then anything in the world! I could not thank you enough for your support in my life and my crazy "real world" adventures that start offically tomorrow! With your guidance, I will be able to hit the moon and launch to the stars! From the bottom of my heart I thank you and will forever be in debt to you! I love you and happy birthday!

It has been a crazy week to say the least. I have not been able to write for some time now. Since graduation it has been a non stop adventure of extreme highs and lows. From the stress of packing to the excitment of travel. This Christmas was not only a treat, but a magical journey to a far away land.

Now before I talk about this magical land, I want to write about family and holiday seasons. No matter what holiday it is, and no matter what trip or gatheriing the family has it can cause for some extrme stress and, well, intresting emotional moments that make us say things that we will always regret.

The thing is with family, they are always there you when you need them for support or talking to. However, they are there when you are annoyed or angered. This is what family does, they love you to death. They will never leave you, no matter the words that are stated, no matter the emotional response, and no matter the time. Family is a magical thing, at least my family is.

We are no where near perfect! We fight, we anger, we annoy, we look down on, but we support, we love, we give, we value, we create, we hold one, we breath, and so much more. Even all of the negtives that we do face in our life, we have such a strong bond that non of this matters when traveling or gathers and fights or angers spur up. We have a unity that works for us. Again, we are no where near pefect, we are not the "greatest family in the world" and we are no where near the "happiest family in the world" either, BUT we ARE the a unique group that know each other's ins and outs and I wold never trade that for anything!

I write about family first because this time a year, many people are stressed, Decemeber has turned into a month of hell and not a month of love. However, we need to step back and look at what we do have, look at the beautiful moments we have with family and understand that they aar always there and will never leave. After all of the negative moments, and hatred, and evil, taking a momennt to breath and understand the value of family and how much they should mean to you. That is all I ask from each of my readers, value family.

Now onto the juicy parts

This year, as a family we took the most amazing, breath taking trip to Mexico! I have never traveled outside of the country and the adventure of going to some far away land excited me more then anything I have done in many years. The most forign land I have been to as this point in my life was South Dakota. Where we did many fishing trips to the middle of no where land ( I really do miss those days).

On this fmaily trip, we were out of the country for 7 days in Tulum Mexico area. We stated at this beautiful beach side resort that offered everything you could imagine! All the food and drinks were included...lets just say this can be very dangerous... and the beach had some of the whitest sands I hhave seen in my life (besides 2007 in Florida by Tampa).

I do want to warn you that I will not have photos in this post. They are all on my phone and I am in a plane bored typing this. With out any photos, I will not go into detail about everything just an overall "YOU NEED TO GO HERE" type of thing.

Besides the resort, food, drinks, and beaches, there are many EXTREMLY AMAZING things this part of Mexico has to offer. Basically this area is home to one of the eight wonders of the world: The Mayan Temples. We did not go to this one, but we did go to the last one you could climb. If I was you, I would go to this one, because once this one stops allowing climbers there are no more to climb. The "Wounder of the World" would be amazing to see if you care about seeing all of the wounders, but if you care more about not being to crowed, then this is a must. WARNING it can get crowed.

Other then the Ruins, this area is home to the second largest corral reef in the world!!! This can offer amazing snorkeling and sucba diving, but when we went the waters were very choppy and made the water extremely cloudy. However if you watch water conditions, this will be magical!! Now I do suggest going to a cove area, if waters are choppy. These areas will be calmer and clearer.

Now there is so much to do in thiis part of Mexico, we only did the two things I mentioned. 1) becuase we only had 7 days and 2) becuase we did this trip to get away and relax not to be active. So much more too explore! The history of the city of Tulum and Akumal is simply outstanding and both cities are a must visit!

Enough talking about our trip...without photos this is REALLY BORING! Look for the next post to come  VERY SOON!:D

Otherwise I hope each and every single one of you had the most amazing Christmas/insert all other holidays and was able to create beautiful memories that will be able to be told as stories in the future. Also hace an EXTREMLY safe NEW YEARS!!

Much love and excitment,

Daniel Sukup

Merry Christmas!

As many of you should know, it was CHRISTMAS! Yesterday! Christmas in July, that is!

That means Santa came to the mountain for a special visit to is poor actors!;)

It was our Christmas in July party last night and it was such a thrill!!

We had a wide variety of food, drink, and of course presents!

Serving is our food! It was beautifully good! Wings, ribs, egg casserole, and many vegetables. All of it was incredibly good. I think I was more thrilled becuase I did not have to make food after the show!:)

Our presents started to line up! Santa was about to come!

I was so excited to meet Santa that I forgot to take photos of him!

Anyways, we had Secret Santa and I had our makeup artist! Let me tell you that I new what she was in to and for the past week have been "haunting" her. Lola Green is this doll that I bought and was processed. In the end, the doll was dismantled and used for the final gift.

I managed to get her some vintage books, an old newspaper, and a beautiful mask that can hang on her wall!

I was about playing games this full week and last night was not any different! She had to go find her gifts! 5 areas she had to look to find them all!:)

After the presents the night ended and it was time to go back to sleep!:)

Tomorrow (Sunday) is going to be a big day! You will find out tomorrow!

Writings.

Today is a beautiful day!

We had a hot day yesterday, but I can't complain. It could be worse, it could be snowing.

The show was not that bad, in regards to the heat. I happened to sweat a lot, which is obvious to those who have seen this show. Other then that, it could have been worse!

I felt yesterday's show in terms of acting, fighting, and all around was very strong for me. One of my favorite shows this season. Now that I think about it, I have said that a lot this summer, becuase it is true! Haha! I have had very few "off" shows!! I am very proud of that.

This is simple called writings. My goal this year with this blog is simply write as much as I can. Forcing myself to write, will eventually help spawn new ideas and creativeness.

This week we have christmas in July (July  25th) and I decided to partake in Secret Santa this year. Unfortunately, like most guys, we wait till the last minute to get the person anything! I guess I have some shopping to do! I still have time!:)

Other then that, I will be heading somewhere special this Sunday! I can't wait to inform you all about it! Get ready to be jealous!! That goes for you Lauren!!

Have a great hump day!

Daniel Sukup

Ps.

I found this in an awesome place in Chillicothe! Yes I already have someone that claimed it! (my mom)

This is the coolest thing I have ever found!!:)

Texas!

Hello all,

I hope everyone had a Merry Chrismtas! One that had memories that will last a life time. I hope the time you spent with friends and family (no matter how stressful) will be cherished for years to come!

I would love to share with you my wonderful Chrismtas in Texas with my Aunt Cathy and family! It was a thrill to be able to have a week with her!

I do want to encourage to share your Chrismtas experiences with me, I would love to hear what happened this Chrismtas season!
----------

We were going to leave for Texas on the 21st. However we had to change it because oh a winter storm that was going to hit OKC Friday night.

When mom got home from work we started packing up the car and got on the road as quickly as possible! We wanted to beat the storm so we would not to get stuck in it on Saturday!

We made it all the way to Wichita an decided to stop and get a hotel! This point we did not have any trouble getting there but OKC was having a different story. Unfortunately I did not take any photos, but they ended up getting 1/2 inch of ice.

After another 6 hours of driving, we made it to Austin! And my brother just made it in time also, he was flying in from San Diego!

The first day (Sunday) we went to a history town (can't remember te name) to do some shopping!

It reminded me a lot of historic St. Charles, Missouri.

There were many good items and some of them were, well out of my price range. Like this item:

Guesses on the price? $200? $400? $300? What does it cost??

There is your answer, almost $4,000!!! I could not believe it!! Oh and the town was Fredericksburg Texas!!

Then I saw this sign I have to post:

I loved this, I thought it was funny seening that it was a quarter machine that "runs fast", makes me wonder how many people have gotten I juried before this sign was out there!?

After this town we headed to the Alamo and the river walk area in San Antonio!

Very crowed, I went to this when I was young, but going back to it was really cool!

The court yard!

Evening time!!

A giant Chrismtas tree!!

Finally the Alamo at Night!! A beautiful trip to San Antonio!!

So I did not take many more photos after that, but then it was Chrismtas time and we opened our gifts, had some breakfast and then headed to the bowling alley for some family fun!

I lost every game!:) I suck at bowling!! However I don't suck at Mexican Dominoes! I did very well!

On my brother's final day in Texas we went to the orginal Twin Peaks! And they have amazing food options and amazing beer and amazing women!

Well evening came and it was time to say goodbye to Jeremy! It was a thrill to have him for Christmaa! You just never know if next Chrismtas we will all be together because we all love so far apart!

I do have to admit that Austin's airport was very welcoming and extremely clean! They even decorated their baggage claim area!!

And finally it was time to pack up and leave the warm state! These are the dogs all in a line not wanting to leave! Well only two of them are leaving. Can you guess which two??

Well that was my wonderful Christmas experience in a large nutshell! I was so excited to be able to have this experience! I will always cherish these moments!

Please share your memories! It is always fun to relive them!

Thank you all for reading and reliving this with me!

Love you all,

Daniel Sukup

Merry Christmas!!

Hello all,

It is that time a year again, and it is not met to bring gloom! It is the most wonderful time of the year were people are stressing and fighting over gifts and no one is happy!! Well that does not seem to be the Christmas I want to know.

Every year we are speeding through life to buy, but, BUY!! For the perfect gift is just around the corner and you have to kill someone for it.

How about this year, and every year, and every day, we slow down our pase and enjoy our family. This maybe hard, but sometimes we lose track of the special moments around us because we are flying through space to please everyone. I know this to be true because I have done it.

Take time to talk to loved ones, to enjoy the environment and slow out pace. We won't get back the time we lost, but we can make sure that the time left is great and memorable.

Ok now for some real fun!!

Tomorrow is CHRISTMAS!!!! I can't bieleve that 364 days have already past, where did that time go?!  Well I am super excited this year because I am in Texas with my Aunt for Christmas this year!! I am super excited for that!

Before everyone goes to bed, make sure to set out your cookies tonight for mom and da..... I mean Santa to enjoy!;)

Have a blessed Christmas and make sure to try to make it a very memento able one!!

Love each of you! Look forward to my New Years Post coming soon!:)

Time travels.

Hello all,

After 22 years I have come to the realization that time is a time traveler itself, but only speeds forwards.

This last semester went by so quickly that I bet my blink if an eye was slower then the semester.

I have been in college for 7 semesters, had to many finals to count, to many adventures to imagine, and only memories to recall. It is crazy how fast time does travel, and at times it gets you to think.

Now I have one more semester left for this year, it will go by quickly. Then summer, the repeat. After next semester I only have 1 left. That is crazy for me.

Anyways, this Christmas break I am doing a lot of relaxing and memorizing for my next show. (Start seeing posts about that soon

It is nice to hit the breaks, but I need them to keep going on this never ending roller coaster ride! Jan 27th I head back to STL, and I am going to hit the ground running.

Well enough about time, next week we head to Texas for Christmas. Hope the weather is good. This bring me to my question for all of you: what are you doing for Christmas?? Let me know in comments or smoke signals. I hope all will have some good memories with friends and family.

Have a Merry Christmas,

Daniel Sukup
