15.8

Hello all,

This is going to be a very interesting thought provoking post, ok well maybe not so much!

As my training continues for the Marathon, I decided to run a record amount for me! I ran 15.8 miles! Yes you read that correct, 15.8 miles! I ran the half marathon a little under 2 hours!! It was exciting but brutal.

I ran from the I-70 bridge in St. Charles to the 364 bridge in Maryland Heights, across that bridge to Creve Cour (Sp?) park and back! For a grand total of 15.8 miles!

I took a break at the 7.4 miles mark to get some water before I headed back! Now heading back was the worst part of it!

4 miles to St. Charles and another 4ish back to my car! Like I said going back was the worst because of taking that break! My legs decided that it was time to stop running! Haha and I pretty much stopped when it got dark! Running by yourself is not fun at all!! I made it to the 13.5 mark running and then jogged the last 2.3 miles.

I will admit two things. 1: 26.2 miles is going to be very and I mean very brutal but I feel that I will be able to do it. 2: running alone, with little water, and by yourself sucks and it should never be done if you want to push yourself!!

Over all I am very pleased with myself and I get more and more ready for the marathon! Still nervous as hell!! But still excited!!

That is all for now! Love you and have a great day!!

I never doubted for one moment that you would back down from a challenge presented by your brother. LOL. I look forward to seeing this race and know I will be proud to see both my boys accomplish another goal.
