Goodbye to November and Hello December!

Hello...Goodbye...Where did time go?

Hello All,

How was your Thanksgiving? Was it the best one in year or just another one that existed? No matter what it was, I hope there was a lot of FOOD!

Anyways, when we get to sit back and look at the past 30 days we see how much time was wasted and how much was well spent.

The last 30 days have been an adventure that I will not soon forget!

-23rd Birthday memories
-Missoula tour information
-Final month of my undergraduate career
-seeing old friends
-new sights
-advance in dance
-and so much more!

This is simply one month over look that has delivered me with great memories and adventure! I don't want any reader to think that this is a brag about my life, I want each and every single person to do this at the end of each month. Look Back, see the achievements, see the accomplishments (no matter how small or large) and enjoy what you find! Always look at the positive and appreciate what you find!

Now for the next month: December! Already lining up to be the greatest month of the year! From a major family vacation, ending my undergrad, and starting the real world! The future looks bright and will offer many memories!
This will be the last month of the year, aim high and achieve great memories and adventure! You may just surprise yourself!

HERE IS TO 2015!!

Have an amazing start to the week!!

Late Night

I find it funny that when you want to write something, nothing comes out. Thoughts can swirl all around your mind but nothing comes onto the digital page! As I sit here wanting to scream from the fury that is inside, from the angry that speaks in my mind, but nothing comes out but the breath of defeat. A silent sound incasing the room, where awkward silence becomes the normal and voice becomes the stranger.

We are living in a time when thoughts and beautiful language exists deathly on a digital screen. We get to visually see the words work together like brother and sister, but don't get to hear the relationship as we read.  Is this a problem or not? People have hunched backs and crooked necks as the beep of a text rings in the air, but next to them a friend remains silent as they walk down the road. Both texting each other as they walk, is this the world we live in?

Will we ever get away from the impersonal relationships that have been formed from the silence become our friend and the digital life becoming the universe? Will we ever step back and se that this was all a mistake and humans need to have a physical life where their inner thoughts come on a page?

I don't know about you, but it is loud in my head, screams of thoughts and ideas swimming in a pool of emotion being held back by the damn of a virtual world. Will it end?

I wanted to publish something today, and I have been sitting here, thinking of something to write. When I decided to write the thoughts in my head, and this come up. I did what my professors have always told me to do: Force yourself to do, work past the wall!

Have an amazing week! This week we are looking at some cool things! I will give you another update on Challenge 365 I have made it to day 20!! I also want to tell you about the library programs I have been working on. Finally, I am planning something huge this weekend! STAY TUNED!

Have a great week!

Lighted Audience

Lighted Audience

The show starts, rising the curtain for new and old.
The stage comes alive with tales of adventure far away.
Stories of battles and love all told through the life of humans.
When these humans look out to sea, they fear for their lives.
Out there tiny lights illuminate, all in fear of battle, they prepare.

More lights, now beeps, the stage has changed to fight.
More lights, beeps, the humans telling the story strike.
The realization comes, there is no battle, threat, only audience that come to enjoy...
...Enjoy their phones, as the story is told. Worried about that like.
What was to be a battle, soon was realized to be no one paying attention.
The humans telling this story, leave, the stage is empty, the audience is full, all glued to their phones.

-Daniel Sukup

This is poem #4 of 365! This came about from a show that I am working. When I did not have a cue to look out for, I would take a picture of all of the people on their phones. I got bored after 10 different people, who did not try to hide it!

Tears

Tears
They run down
Picking up speed
Gravity grabs them
Dragging a long tail
Emotion flows as a river
Reaching the cliff
Then falling as the rain storm comes
Hitting the ground, beating of a drum
Forming a puddle to jump in
Tears

Scorpio Season

Attention:

SCORPIO SEASON IS COMING!

If you care at all, it means that my birthday is getting really really close! A little over a month and a half!:) but that who is counting!

This is the start of October, obvious if you have looked at a calendar in the past 72 hours you would know that it was coming!

This is a great month for activities! Pumpkin picking, haunted houses, amusement parks, and so much more!

It is also a sad time, amusement parks closing, the W season coming! Well mainly those to items make it sad!:D

Lately I have been update my website to a fresh look, better layout, and a design change. I will keep you all posted with the publishing of that.

Also: I have been keeping strong at interning at DaySprings school of the arts! We are working on the Mario set build right now! Let's just say it is pretty BA!:)

Next: I have been placing the finishing touches on with MCT, working with some friends for their capstone, and one more thing (but I have not decided on it yet.)

I guess finally, a new writing. Just a heads up, even if I don't get on published here, I write everyday! I am still sticking to my challenge 100 poems, 100 days!

housekeeper

Every day my eyes open
I see it like a monster from hell
Acting like a pig's pen
Wish it all gone with a hit of the bell.

Trash, filth, grime
All leaves a path, sore to the eye
For if I had a dime
From this sight that cause me to dye,

I would have a dime.

My point, we clean for you, not us.
We clean the 6 walls around you
You never thank us
You walk all over us
You think it is easy.

I ask that for one day
You walk in our shoes
Be a housekeeper

Then you will see
The dime is worth more
Then the respect you give us.
