We are not officially in part 4 of the final week! We have two more shows (after tonight). I mentioned yesterday that I was going to talk about some state parks here in Chillicothe.
I did not manage to make it to a park today because of distance, however I still want to mention three different state parks that I was EXTREMELY surprised to find in Chillicothe.
First off is Buzzards' Roost, this is a state park that is featured in the Paint Creek Gorge. This gorge was created by ice glaziers many years ago when they melted. This happened and created a beautiful gorge that features extreme cliffs, amazing views, and of course the crazy paint creek cutting through this gorge!
Amazing forests!!
These photos are just a small sample of what this park has to offer!
Another beautiful park is the Nature Sanctuary that I will be going to this Saturday! This park feature many beautiful feature of rocks, rare flowers, crazy bird watching, and much more! Use to be home to the 7 Caves, but closed in 2005 and now is own by the Arc and have since closed the caves.

This is one of many beautiful views you can find in this park! There are three trails in this park open to public on the weekends. Also a Museum is open that feature outstanding artwork.
I can't wait to see this on Saturday! This is simply beautiful and I love how these rocks are formed! This is all in Chillicothe! CRAZY!!
This is the Museum and it features art work form local and state wide artists! I can't wait to get some photos of the inside to show you all!
If you ever get a chance to see this, please share!
The final place is the Mound City Group Earthworks
The Earthworks were created by Natives almost 2000 years ago, the purpose for these mounds, walls, and shape is not fully understood. Even with some idea, historians are still confused how they built them, what the use was, and why.
When you walk up to some of these mounds, you will just look at them, 'oh a hill', but the you realize that these are built by people for some purpose. They are large and layered with crazy amount of precision.
Take a look:
These are the mounds at this location. It is extremely crazy that Chillicothe is the center point for all of these Eathworks. Why? No one knows!
To read more about these check out this link: Ohio Mounds
Check them out if you are ever here!
This concludes the final week part 4, I hope you enjoyed and will eventually goto these state parks! It is my last time this year to see these locations, but it bass been 100% worth it! I can only hope that I will be back in this area soon!
Sending my love to all,
Daniel Sukup
